Welcome to Room 18's blog for 2020. We are an energetic Year 4 class. We are very lucky to have two teachers this year, Mrs Morris and Mrs Mattsson. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.
I have enjoyed reading about your learning today! Great work Marcus and Lithara, you are correct we do have a water shortgage in Auckland. It is getting serious, I'm glad you are finding ways to reduce our water useage. I read a great tip, when you are waiting for your shower to warm up, use that water to fill a bucket or two. You can use this water to water your plants or garden. Or can you think about what else you could do with that bucket of water?
Daniel, I would love to stand on your chalk maze and have a go. I enjoy doing puzzles like that. Perhaps you could draw one on the pavement outside your house so others can give it a go too?
Keep enjoying the sunshine Room 18 From Mrs Madden
Good morning Room 18, Wow, I love your saving water poster Marcus. Alistair keeps up with fabulous acrostic Autumn poem! Absolutely gorgeous poppies, Sayuni. Keep up your fabulous learning in your bubble. I can't wait to see what you have been learning this week. Will check in again soon!
Wow Room 18 what a busy lot you are. How to save water, book reviews, poems, art work, baking, making poppies, the list goes on. It is good to see you are getting outside as well while still learning. I especially liked your family portrait made from sticks and stones Anoji. I bet Thumper is enjoying having you at home Maia. Keep sharing everyone.
I am super impressed with all the amazing work you have shared Room 18. What a variety of activities you have completed during Lockdown. Your bunny rabbit, Thumper, is so cute, Maia. Using environmental objects to create works of art is clever...look at Daniel's mandelas and Anoji's family portrait. A singing career would be great, Marcus. I love the creative ideas in your Acrostic poems, Daniel, Maddie, Alistair and Rachael. You had fun making yummy Anzac biscuits with your brother, Sayuni. Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book Review-Greg sounds like a humorous character, Jackson. Super ideas for how we can save water, Lithara. Michelle had fun making and floating her boat...well done. I learnt a lot about the Blue Morpho butterfly, Maddie. Pleased to hear that you are doing Matific activities, Jordan and enjoying Minecraft. You challenged us with that Maths Pirate Fruit puzzle, Marcus. You have been enjoying the sunny weather, Daniel, riding your bike and making chalk puzzles. I wish I could taste your mung bean sprouts. That is an attractive bookmark, Rachael, and I love your bunch of poppies.
