Today, 5 August, we visited the Howick Historical Village where we learnt about life in the olden days in NZ. The teachers were Mrs Cartwright and Mrs Taylor. In the old classroom we wrote on slate boards. For Arithmetic(Maths) a counting frame was used.
We were able to play with indoor and outdoor toys from that time and we compared them to the toys we play with today.
I think the funniest part of the trip is the teacher pretending to slap Lucas's bottom using a cane.
